Tuesday 20 January 2009 2:20:46 pm Hi. First at all, congratulations and thank you for this wonderful extension. We're using it in some projects.
Main problems we have with our customers it because they really don't like the look and feel of the flv_player.swf. I know it can be customized with some colors, but still it doesn't fit our needs. So, i've been searching around for anothers flv players and i've found FlowPlayer (www.flowplayer.org). Free version is fully customizable, but it inserts a logo of that site in every video. You can buy a licence to avoid this. I'm playing around and trying to integrate it with ezpublish. I've done some modifications in the extension, basically to view template and settings. For ezvideoflv i've modified player settings. I've added a new one called playersettings... looks like |

Tuesday 13 October 2009 2:45:24 am Hi, Carlos,
I'm very interested in your suggestion for the integration of new players with eZVideoFlv extension. I even started with my attempts to implement the Flowplayer in one of the projects on which I'm working, but I have some problems with it. I wondered if you have already managed to do that and whether we can share some experience. So, I downloaded the flowplayer-3.1.4 release from here http://flowplayer.org/download/index.html , then I created two new directories under ezvideoflv extension called flowplayer/ and javascript/ in which I added respectively the files flowplayer-3.1.4.swf and flowplayer-3.1.4.min.js. I also added settings for the new Flowplayer in ezvideoflv.ini file the same way that you suggest in your post. I even created a rewriterule for the new player and I added it to my config file. The rule has the following syntax: Rewriterule ^/extension/ezvideoflv/design/standard/flowplayer/flowplayer-3.1.4.swf - [L] . Then I modified my templates in order to include and visualize the Flowplayer the way it is described here http://flowplayer.org/documentation/installation/index.html , but all this for now is with no success, because the player is not shown. Did I miss something or probably I did something wrong? I will appreciate all advices and remarks from you if you had already overcome these kind of problems! I'm looking forward for your answer, thanks in advance! Best regards! Iguana IT - http://www.iguanait.com |

Don't really know how you are including the code for flowplayer. I'll try to tell what i did then under extension/ezvideo/design/standard/templates, i created two tpl files. One was called FlowPlayer.tpl, and it goes like this

Wednesday 14 October 2009 2:11:07 pm Hi again, Mr. Revillo!
I want to thank you about your instant and detailed reply! It really helped me a lot through the implementation process of the Flowplayer in my project. I successfully managed to display the player in my web pages and to play flv video files with it. Now I'm working on the possibility to display that player through the <object> tag with plain html for the cases when browser's javascript is disabled, because then the player is not shown and there is only a blank block instead. I hope that this is going to work! Iguana IT - http://www.iguanait.com |
